July 18, 2026 / 8:00 | On Saturday morning, July 18th at 8:00 am, Moorpark Presbyterian Church Men’s Ministry is hosting a breakfast for the Joel Burchfield Spirit Walk Kick-Off. This walk spotlights the Joel Burchfield Memorial Fund, a designated charitable event, which provides scholarships to Moorpark High School seniors as they begin their journey toward higher education.

The twelfth annual Joel Spirit Walk will take place July 19 to 25, 2026. Find more information here: https://myjourneywithjoel.org/

Please join us and support the Joel Burchfield Scholarship Fund. Free-will donations will be accepted at the breakfast before we walk to the Moorpark pedestrian bridge after breakfast, where a remembrance plaque is dedicated to Joel. There will be a short time of sharing by Dan Burchfield, Joel’s father and a Moorpark High School teacher, Dan will also share a story of Joel's Angel Window and then folks can be picked up or return on foot back to the church.
